Publishing complete editions of all the musical scores of Rudi Martinus van Dijk
Donemus Publishing has commenced work on creating printed editions of all of the remaining unpublished works of Rudi Martinus van Dijk thanks to the generous legacy left behind by Augusta van de Leuv. Donemus scan everything that is scannable (the scanning costs are built in to the budget already, so – if they happen to skip typesetting – it will decrease the overall amount to be invoiced).
The same applies to three published titles in their catalogue which had been already typeset in the distant past. They managed to find and dust off the old files, and are able to use these so no typesetting will be needed. Donemus will give these works a new layout (so that the entire oeuvre has a unified look) and those three titles are: Kreiten’s Passion for baritone, choir and orchestra, the Piano Trio and Sonata for violin and piano.
Kama Loka, van Dijk’s unfinished opera, and his Sinfonia Concertante are placed on hold for the time being (they’ll scan what can be scanned) and the same applies to Three Piano Pieces which are unfinished pencil sketches.
Donemus will also produce pocket scores (printed as a folded booklet on A5) of all the orchestral works.
Since work commenced at Donemus Publishing, the Violin Concerto, Lament for a Dying Bird for solo clarinet, the Sonatina for piano, Incantation for solo flute, and the Sonata Movement for Alto-saxophone have now been completed.
